Legitimate Web Marketing

Lots of scams have brought very negative publicity to legitimate web marketing services conducted online. Companies no longer know whom to trust and they make thorough background research before starting any collaboration. The Internet favors fraudulent activities because of the anonymity or the cover that it can provide to various crooks. Here are some things that should put you on guard when it comes to web marketing services and business collaborations.

1.Caution is your best friend when somebody offers you an 'incredible' business solution. Some web marketing services may claim that they can help you get the number one position on search engine result pages. If a web company works with your selected keywords alone, that is almost never possible. Maybe they can get you a good ranking and increase traffic, but all the goals should remain realistic or doable!

2.Submission to hundreds of search engines ...

This is one of the worst Internet scams. Many people get duped into believing that by contracting some web marketing services they will have their site submitted to all the search engines. There are just four main search engines that are worth working with, and they do not require any kind of submission. Every search engine indexes the pages individually, and in a very short time. This is not an 'advantage' to pay for!

3.Get thousands of backlinks for $30 only!

Online business development depends on popularity, and this is measured in the number of links you have from and to other web pages. Web marketing services that get you thousands of backlinks for a modest fee, could actually ruin your business. Most of the backlinks could be spammy or there may be some other issue you don't want to be involved in.

4.Avoid link exchange programs!

Search engines often label link exchange programs as spammy schemes. You should do a bit more reading about such programs before hiring this form of web marketing services. Fail to do so and you may come to regret it later.

5.The purchase of opt-in subscriber lists could infringe spam regulations!

It is totally illegal to have ad messages emailed to people who have not willingly left you their address to receive updates. Do not pay for this kind of web marketing services because you can get in legal trouble. If the emails in the listings are not opt-ins you are committing a crime punishable by law.
